The Hosts
Welcome to the In-Touch website! We are the Capstone hosts, Anjali and Taylor. We are seniors in the Center for Leadership and International Relations at James River High School. We have been friends since the summer before our freshman year when we met at the Anything Goes Show Choir bootcamp… the rest is history. Some of our favorite pastimes include: staying up all hours of the night on Facetime, falling asleep on each others’ shoulders on long bus rides to competitions, scream-singing every word of Hamilton, and sending each other Grey’s Anatomy TikToks. We both enjoy being a part of Anything Goes show choir (for the past 4 years), being on the Leadership council for the Center, watching any show made by Shonda Rhimes, and doing various other activities within our community.
In-touch
The two of us were inspired by the recent blossom of activism and advocacy for people of color in our nation. We were further influenced by the many things we have learned from each other throughout our 4-year friendship, so we knew that our Capstone Project had to be centered around a cause that is important to us personally and the community as a whole. Our mission is to lift up the stories and voices of people of color in the form of an online web series and blog, hosted here on this website.

We hope to educate our community by exposing them to the stories and points of views of people of color from various backgrounds. We also hope that this platform will serve as a healthy space for people of color to share their experiences and voices.

Every person of color deserves to have their voice heard. And every person should have the opportunity to open their eyes to the experiences and perspectives of people who may come from different backgrounds, cultures, or ethnicities.
